The Park City, Utah, neighborhood Prospector is a particularly popular area for residents in the area with young families. It is quite close to Park City High School, the Treasure Mountain Middle School and McPolin Elementary School, and to a neighborhood park, complete with a pond and playground. The area is just a short walk, bike ride, or complimentary bus ride away from Main Street, which is filled with restaurants, galleries and shops and boutiques. 

The area is dotted with older, Victorian-style homes as well as newer constructions and condos and it is one of Park City's oldest neighborhoods. It provides its residents direct access to the Rail Trail and the Aerie trail system, which runs for miles throughout the county and offers superb running and hiking paths. There are also a few shops, restaurants and a health club located within the neighborhood itself. 

The area also offers easy access to the Round Valley area, the National Ability Center and the Park City Ice Rink. Prospector home prices average in the $600,000 to $700,000 range, while condos fetch around $185,000. Prospector Square is a popular central meeting point.

Park City is home to such large events as the internationally known Sundance Film Festival, the Art Festival, a Summer Concert Series and the Jazz Fest. In January, the city celebrates a two-week long Winterfest, with concerts, winter sports competitions, fireworks and an ice sculpture competition. The city is home to three major ski resorts and brings in thousands of tourists every year.
